SANFORD, FL, UNITED STATES, September 1, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- SANFORD, Fla. — September 1, 2026 — St. Johns Rivership Company is inviting guests to step into the refined world of Jane Austen with its new Sense and Sensibility High Tea Cruise, sailing every Tuesday throughout September aboard the Barbara-Lee rivership in Sanford, Florida.

Inspired by Austen’s beloved novel, this elegant two-hour cruise blends literary charm, traditional high tea and scenic views of Lake Monroe and the St. Johns River. Guests are encouraged to embrace the occasion with Regency-inspired attire, decorative hats or their favorite afternoon-tea fashions, although costumes are not required.

The experience features a selection of traditional savory tea sandwiches, freshly baked scones and delicate sweets, accompanied by a collection of more than 35 flavored teas. Guests will enjoy reserved seating inside the Barbara-Lee’s enclosed, climate-controlled dining areas while taking in the natural beauty and historic atmosphere of Central Florida’s St. Johns River.

“Jane Austen’s stories are filled with wit, romance, memorable characters and beautiful social traditions,” said Michelle Wyatt, owner of St. Johns Rivership Company. “Our Sense and Sensibility cruise gives guests an opportunity to enjoy that timeless elegance while sharing high tea aboard one of Sanford’s most distinctive attractions.” The new cruise is ideal for Jane Austen enthusiasts, book clubs, mother-daughter outings, birthday celebrations, groups of friends and anyone seeking a unique weekday experience in the Orlando and Central Florida area.

The Sense and Sensibility High Tea Cruise will be offered on Tuesdays during September 2026. Advance reservations are strongly recommended because seating is limited.
